DC! (My Very First Time)

It was our 3 year anniversary trip! And he planned to go to DC. We had an amazing time! I got tickets to go to the White House and the Capitol...we went to the Washington and Lincoln Memorial....A whole bunch of the Smithsonian's and a few amazing (and not) restaurants that I want to talk about:
We stayed at L'Enfant Plaza Hotel; It was nice, not super fancy but not cheap, it has an old style to it. We had a great view and it was nice and cold. There they had an Irish pub, The Foggy  (jack pot! my hubby is Irish) we went in for a late snack and a Guinness. This place has to be the worst bar I have ever been in my life! Hated it (And so did my husband) I didn't take any pictures, but the food was cold, probably grilled the previous week, It was just nasty!

Then there was Le Pain Quotidien The most amazing French Bakery I have ever been to.
The Yummy Menu and the Seasonal Menu

There was a long wooden table, that everyone can share
Apricot Jelly and Chocolate spread - It's on every table
I Ordered a very Hot Belgium Chocolate! It was so cute the way that they serve it. They bring you the milk and then the Belgium Chocolate on the side, you make it yourself. It was so different ( It's not a big thing I know)
To eat we got Tartines (which are slices of bread topped with different things, like ham, cheese, etc)
And we ended with a Chocolate Croisant and a Pistachio tart! (yes dessert for breakfast, why not?) Yuuuummyyyy.
Everything was so fresh and delicious! On a not so good note, it was a bit expensive for my taste (For breakfast that is) The bill was like $50 plus tip (it's ok, we are on vacation)

We didn't eat everything, it was a bit much, but we took it to go and ate it before our dinner.

Milk and Belgium Chocolate
Me Mixing it ;)

All Ready - I like it strong!
